Oh my goodness what a treat! We had the sheer delight of sampling beautiful seasonal food made by Kim, a professional vegetarian chef based at Islington Mill. I was attending an event by the Crescent Network as part of my day job and Kim put on the catering. Despite cooking all day long Kim was kind enough to do a podcast interview after the event and has inspired us with some great insights into food networks, food growing and sourcing food locally, including foraging for food along the canal banks of the River Irwell.

Listen to the podcast here.

If you get a chance – pop down to Islington Mill Thursdays and Fridays and order at the bar – you won’t be disappointed!

Check out the menu here

Thanks to Kim our directory for Manchester will grow quite a bit and we’ve learned loads as to where we can get supplies locally.
